Finding Fluffy ...to be continued..

18 hours, since I started looking out for Fluffy .......and all I have succeeded in doing is, having fluffy and all the memories associated with him replay again and again in my head.

This is seriously the worst of my worst nightmares coming true. And I really hope it is a nightmare that comes with a definite end point. There is no way that I have pictured a day without Fluffy and would never be able to.

It was love at first sight when I first saw him, hanging in a corner at the greet well store, in Hyderabad. And instantly I made sruthi akka gift me and named it Fluffy, though it was no where close to being fluffy. Sruthi akka was leaving for U.S.A and Fluffy was supposed to be a souvenir.

It was not long before I knew how crazily,easily and madly I could fell in love. It wasn't a thing to me anymore but something that I couldn't describe in words. Best friend, lucky charm, a part of me, something that could make dreams come true, a silent companion in distress, a positive energy emitter, my happiness catcher......Fluffy was everything I ever wanted and needed. When I looked at him, I could feel his eyes talking to me exactly the words I need to hear. A pleasant smile on his face 24/7 that only I could understand. Fluffy always gave me a touch of comfort that filled me with a feeling of hope in my times of distress.

All my happy moments were made happier with fluffy's presence. He was a source of good luck and courage during all my hard times.

There were days and nights when Fluffy was beside me 24/7...but then I realized Fluffy gotta be kept safe and made sure it was in a secure place from where I could take him, when I needed. But never did a day or night go by where I was unsure of his whereabouts. I lost him once for 10 mins and since then I have been extra cautious..but I do not understand why the hell I was so careless last night and misplaced him...I know I am not gonna lose Fluffy..but I hate this feeling of crap in my head...

Looking at fluffy reminds me of all the happy moments I cherish and all the bad times I survived.....and the list of my dreams,that I promised Fluffy that I would make them true for me and him.

What's the point of me staying in U.S.A with out Fluffy? Without Fluffy in the pictures of my graduation day? What is the need for me to visit Niagara falls or Pittsburgh or Antarctica without Fluffy? The thought that I can't give Fluffy to Teja irks me more...

I seriously need Fluffy right now, cause what I am going through would only make sense to Fluffy ....

I love you loads Fluffy..be back soooon....please!

I ended up watching this song while trying to find some random quote on how 'time changes everything' and found it catchy and worthy for reasons many.

--> The song is 65 years old and that satisfies my strange fascination for anything old and forgotten.

--> The music is soothing and the lyrics simple, truthful and makes your grey cells relax a bit if not think a bit.

--> Is it not an idea unheard to go and tell your ex that you got over them for good and that too with music and a smile.

--> Blah blah blah...I am basically jobless and that is one of the main reason for this post.

Neverthless I love this song for now.

I miss you baby!

I know I have ignored you big time...And I am really sorry. If you had a face I know you would look at me with a disgust+happy to see you expression..With pouted lips.. And you wouldn't have spoken to me even if you could....

I don't remember when I created you but the reason I did..you did fulfill...You helped me to get over my feelings of loneliness, disgust and helplessness. Have been patiently bearing all my mood swings...bursts of happiness and sadness and never ever complained about the odd fonts and colors I do use and always corrected all my spelling mistakes in a sweet way.....

You helped me see my own inner feelings through you...I don’t know if I ever tried to show an alter ego of myself through the words I wrote...even if I did you always made me realize my flaws and good things about me. You've been real kind and generous with me, a constant friend all day and all night. Always there to bear me and help me realize what I needed and what I do not.

From a lovelorn girl- lost nowhere- heading blindly to goals I chose-not knowing what I do end up with.... to a girl(Gosh I guess its time I call myself Woman :~) ) happily in love with the most perfect guy- relishing the journey of life I chose at every phase-making every little dream of mine come to life-being assured I would end up with all the right people and right experiences in life......you have been with me all during these phases as a part of me integrated in my life making the most complex task of realizing self easier...

Sigh*
I guess I can never get over not knowing how to start a blog post.
First of all I have no excuses to say why I have been out of blogging lately...It was simple,plain, old, dear laziness and nothing else. I haven't got over it yet and I guess it will be sometime before I completely forget or indulge in blogging again.

It is not that I have been completely jobless these days. There are few things like
--> bugging mom and dad,
-->stalking Teja,
--> devising about all the discomforts I am probably gonna offer Sruthi Akka,
-->wondering how sweet at heart Kali is,
--> Untiringly watching television when it is switched on,
--> getting addicted to Petville and
--> Thats it.

With my final exams and my Visa Processing done, I find my self absolutely ruling the Kingdom of boredom.
My results are not yet out and I am wondering if the one who evaluated my answer sheet is safe and sound. And about my visa interview experience (cause everybody writes and shares it in the internet), I am gonna write a longer post sometime later for sure.

So here ends the short update from me..and hope all you guys are dong great!

Here goes my failed attempt at writing a 55 fictioner...It ended up being 55+119 words long LOL.

Being sleepless for the past five nights, the fatigue and fear in her eyes was evident. Few of her friends tried to suggest a solution and few others made fun of her. But to her it was an issue as scary as death.

"No matter what I will be done with him today", she told her colleagues with vengeance evident in her bloodshot red eyes.

'All set’, She thought and tried to sleep that night hoping all is gonna end by the time she woke up.

It was 5 in the morning. With footsteps as light as a feather she carefully and silently went in to her kitchen and switched on the light.

What she just saw made her beam with a smile.

But in a fraction of a second all her smiles vanished and she stood dumbstruck watching the act that was so unbelievable. Jumping up and down and on freeing himself from the trap, the rat escaped into the creeks of the cupboard to be seen nowhere.

Dear blog,

How have you been? It has been quite some time since I have visited you. Its not that I am completely immersed in my studies which till date remains an absolute impossibility. It is just that I am trying to convince myself that I am actually studying real hard to get through my exams with a reasonably good score. [impossibility...again? huh :~( ]

I know there has been a lot happening in Blogger Ville and you feeling ignored and unattended is understandable. As you are aware I truly wanted to be a dedicated blogger when I created you....but alas the lazy me is still healthy and strong. So dear blog just be reminded that I still love you loads and miss you greatly. It will not be too long before I flood you with all those stupid and not so stupid things I have been up to all these days.

Do tell all my sweet blog followers, readers and friends that I am so very missing their blogs. And that I would be back soon catching up with their lives and blogs. :~)

Ouch....Alas...ER...Uh...Oh...Phew...ARGHH...

And now what do you expect? You thought I was kidding each time I grouch saying that I wanna write something but don't know how to start?? Inertia, starting trouble (sounds funny eh?) or bloggers block...Whatever it is....It irks me more than any of my Chemistry teachers or their lectures ever did.

Lol(the devil in me thinks it looks pretty horrible when it laughs So LOL again).

Enough of warming up for a post that ain't gonna entertains much ;~)

I am like again at that phase of life where in I am being bombarded with choices. It is always easy to follow your dreams no matter what attractive shit the world offers right?? But you know sometimes there are these passing moments that leave you feeling ‘probably you'll end up being a Failure and A Fool and nothing else.'

'My dreams are stronger than my weakness'.

So I know I need not worry but the Pessimist in me is grinning. And all I can do right now is wait..Wait patiently and try to believe in myself and all those Fantasy dreams of mine :~).

Wanted to write something else and ended up with something else...Anyways here I end this post with some free advice I gave some time back to .......

30 Seconds since the truck hit Rajiv’s bike and sped away.

The driver of the truck was too drunk to even realize what he just did to 26 year old Rajiv.

Rajiv laid there in the chilling cold, with his head on the divider of NH9. He tried hard to push the bike that was crushing his already broken left leg, with his right hand. The pain he felt in his back and the left limbs was far more excruciating than he could endure. He wished either for the pain or his life to end at that very moment. But the warm blood that was oozing from his forehead flowing down his left cheek and neck reminded him of Aarthi’s cold fingers and her warm embrace.

It has been exactly a year since he last saw Aarthi on 06/06/07, the day he noted down as the most painful day in his life in the dairy which he started writing since that day.
It was 10 minutes past 5.00pm when he saw Aarthi sitting at the corner table of their favorite restaurant. As always Aarthi reached before him. How much ever Rajiv tried he always got late and She was always before time.

As Rajiv lay on the hard concrete road, staring into the dawn sky at the fading stars, he remembered the gleaming eyes of Aarthi. Her eyes always got brighter when he was with her. He had no doubts on the fact that she was madly in love with him. So was he, but he never could dare to tell her his feelings. Not that he was afraid of rejection. He knew that Aarthi was longing to hear what she already told him. But he did not want to commit himself in a lifelong relationship when he himself was depending on his parents for all his financial needs. Just a few more days and I will propose her he kept telling himself since the day Aarthi proposed him a year ago on 06/06/06.

Aarthi was excited to see Rajiv. She was about to tell Rajiv that it was exactly a year since she proposed him and exactly 2 years since they first met when Rajiv said, “I need time to settle first, Career is important everything else can wait. Forget me please.” It came as a shock to Aarthi that Rajiv still could not respect her feelings. After a long conversation which eventually ended in a heated argument, both left their favorite restaurant and parted their ways.

Rajiv could not see the tears in Aarthi’s eyes that she held back while she said a ‘Good Bye’ with a smile on her face. If Rajiv turned back and looked at Aarthi he would have seen her looking at him with longing eyes with tears rolling down her cheeks. But that evening he did not look back, even though he longed to hug Aarthi and assure her that it will not be long before they would be back together again.

Aarthi kept calling Rajiv for the months that followed. But Rajiv bluntly refused her every call. And each time he avoided her call it broke his heart. But he really wanted time for himself and for Aarthi to choose the paths best for them. As days passed the frequency with which Aarthi called Rajiv reduced. And 6 months after their break up, Aarthi never called Rajiv again. Rajiv very much missed Aarthi and he many a times thought of getting back to her. But his determination to succeed in his life held him back from going back to her.

On 07/06/08, at 5.10 p.m Rajiv received a call on his phone. It was the HR of the company of his dreams who told him the good news he was yearning to hear for so long. He finally got his dream job. The first person he wanted to share the news was Aarthi and he immediately dialed her number. After an hour and still not being able to reach her or any of their common friends, Rajiv decided to go to Aarthi’s place. Not finding any means of transport he took his bike and started for her place at 11.00pm on the NH9 the very road on which they both together used to go for long drives.

Rajiv was about to reach Aarthi’s place in about 30 minutes when he met with an accident. Even after 30 minutes after the fatal accident, Rajiv laid there with blood still oozing from his head. Rajiv did not know if he was hallucinating or if Aarthi was really beside him with tears in her eyes as she wiped the blood off his face with her cold fingers. Rajiv said “I am sorry Aarthi” as he closed his eyes to never open again.

It was at 5.45 A.m in the morning when Dr.Parvesh, driving a Car on the NH9 noticed a man lying in a pool of blood. Dr.Parvesh realized it was too late and that the young man died of excess bleeding. When Dr.Parvesh looked at the face of the dead young man, he was reminded of his daughter who committed suicide 6 months ago. When he saw the Diary of Rajiv beside his bike and a picture of Aarthi and Rajiv in it, he looked at the sky and burst out crying looking at the only star that was still blinking. He now understood why his sensitive dear daughter left him.

#What if Rajiv turned back and looked at Aarthi for one last time on 06/06/07, maybe Rajiv would have reconsidered his decision.
#What if Rajiv would have accepted Aarthi's call at least once, maybe Rajiv would have reconsidered his decision.
#What if Rajiv had known that Aarthi died 6 months ago, maybe he would have killed himself too.
#What if the truck driver was not drunk, the accident might not have happened at all.
#What if Dr.Parvesh did not travel NH9 to attend an emergency case he might not have never known the reason behind his daughter’s death.

Hello me and all!!

It has been a [not very :~) ] long time since I posted something. It's not writers block actually but its like having too many things to write about that I end up writing nothing...err is this what is called writers(bloggers) block ? Phew I am no writer anyways.

A few more months to go:
The past few days I have been quite occupied with my masters application process and stuff. Goddamn it does take a lot of time and patience.Well I am 'almost' done for now and my fingers are crossed and all I hope, pray and dream is to get one I2o in the university of my choice. Yup I can feel the butterflies in my stomach actually... tiny-little-ugly-fire-spitting-dragons. :~O But then again no point in thinking about things(or people) that I can't change or influence..right? But there is one thing I gotta mention. If I have ever had any regrets (well once or twice I did) of studying science and not engineering..they are all gone. Gosh I am so in love again with science .... Biotechnology has the same effects on me like blogging.has...liberating, fulfilling and a magical feel good factor.

A Lesson Learnt:
Actually we do have consultancies that make our work easier but Sru being the caring sis she is wants me to learn doing everything myself. I complain superficially but I feel satisfied that I am trying my best to become like her -independent and composed. She is the one person in my life I always tried and still try to emulate with not much success though.
Few days ago, Sru akka* sent me a story/article/feelings or whatever that is called with a note not to Publish or post it anywhere. It was one heartfelt touching story that she wrote about her patient. I'm not gonna say anything about it. But what touched me the most was the wonderful way my sis can write and yet be so humble. Where as I write non sense things and feel great about myself.

There are so many people around us who are far better than us and just because they are humble and kind doesn't make them inferior to us. This is something I have always known but something I always tend to forget. :~)

Blame-Game:
I know a lot of people here love Blog a Ton...but I guess that wont stop me from blaming it for so many a reasons. BAT introduces us to so many wonderful blog and articles that I wanna read them all which is just impossible. I guess BAT is not for people like me...I mean I rather prefer having a close knit group of honest blog followers and blogs I follow where I can leave a honest comment rather than nice post or gr8 work :~P.

Maybe its just not BAT but I being the gal(woman? I'm 22 now) who can be easily influenced by new fantasies have been quite busy with other nonsense things. But I guess, blogging being the only constant thing I ever had in my life tends to allure me back each time I drift away and find myself LOST. I happened to see that I have been blogging since 2006....Gosh!! I stilll can't believe..Yeah, I was a stupid foolish blogger initially (and haven't become better either ) but then again I doing something for 5 long years is unbelievable. Applauds..I wanna celebrate :~P

B'Day Timez:
Celebration? Reminds me of two things..Let me wish the sweet friend & brother Blogger has introduced me --Yeah Saurabh-A very Happy Happy Birthday. May all your dreams come true! And the second thing is that its Kali's birthday on the 30th of jan-the one day she asks about every day of the year. I hope my plans to make the bestest b'day ever work out well.Yes you are more than welcome to share your ideas with me to on that. :~)

He sat on the bench that cold winter evening. It was past 6 and the sun began to set. Being the only regular visitor to this park, he loved it for sole reason that it provided the best solace to his lonely life. The park being almost in ruins was rarely if ever was visited by anyone. He watched the sun set every evening hoping someday an end would come to all the miseries in his life. And this particular bench he sat that evening gave him the best view of the sunset as he wandered in his thoughts ranging from dismay to helplessness, helplessness to hope and hope to courage.

Life to him has always been an uphill climb. One huddle after the other he bravely faced and overcame. He felt so very depressed sometimes that he even considered to end it sometimes. But his aim that he made up in his younger school days kept him going.

‘Everyone in life should have a dream to follow. A dream that shall bring fulfillers to one’s life. And that dream shall lead you all your life’, his social studies teacher told him one day in school. These lines had a very stong impact on his seven year old mind.He pondered for a week to decide what his aim in life should be. One late Sunday evening he decided and wrote it down in the only note book he had,sitting on the same bench he sat this evening, 15 years later.

This particular evening he felt low and at a loss of zeal to live his life. Problems to him were never new. He faced them right from the day he was born. Even before he knew what pain and pleasure meant.

He was an orphan, left at the footsteps of an orphanage, one cold winter night. He had thin clothing that barely could protect a year old baby from the freezing harsh cold. For how long he endured the cold that night nobody knew. When the caretaker-Rehman a stern, overbuilt, dark man in his early 30’s saw the life filled doll in shabby clothes, was only disappointed. The orphanage was running short of funds that insufficiently provided the children with one meal per day. But the moment Rehman held the baby he couldn’t ignore the mesmerizing smile and the twinkling glow in his eyes . He named him ‘Muskaan’ immediately and later added a prefix ‘Shiva’ when he saw a Shiva’s locket tied around the baby’s right wrist.

To respect all religions was he believed in. Since his duties as the caretaker taught him to be the guide, teacher, friend, father and also mother to the orphans. He made it a point that he would live a life of morals and values so that it had the right effect on the orphans whom he embraced as his own children. To see them grow, settle in their lives and live a life making the society better is what he strived for. Though Muskaan was a favorite of Rehman, life to him was not fair. Muskaan was a brilliant, hardworking student. His unadultered interest and sincerity in studies made Rehman take an extra step of kindness by sponsoring Muskan’s education. He spent more on Muskan rather than his own daughter Zubeena education.

Zubeena and Muskan studied together and belonged to the same age group. They spent most of the time together and it was no wonder the feelings of love bloomed from their friendship.

None was surprised when Muskaan made his confessions to Rehman about his love for zubeena. Rehman remained calm and heard to whatever Muskaan had to tell. But he was a father after all and had his own worries. He did not want his daughter to live a life of suffering as he did. Though it was hard for him he told Muskaan to leave the Orphanage at once and come back to ask his daughters hand when he settled in his life. Muskaan left his home the next day.

After an year of complete struggle, Not finding any suitable job, he lost all the desire and hope to live. All the memories of the past surged in his mind, intensifying the pain in his heart. Muskaan had no choice but leave the park as the old watchman reminded him it was time to shut the gates of the park.Muskaan began to take slow steps toward the exist. He stopped, when the old watchman called onto him. You left your bag at the bench he said giving a bag of books. Muskaan tried to tell him they did not belong to him. But the old watchman was in a hurry and told Muskaan that nobody ever visited the park apart from him. Muskaan had no choice but to take the books with him after finding no one in and around the park.

That night Muskaan out of pure loneliness and despair started reading those 7 books he found. Each page he read filled him with inspiration and every word with courage. The books had all kinds of stories…Stories of love, kindness, jealousy, fame, success, war and even death. As days passed on, Muskaan turned into a new man with more determination and optimism towards fulfilling his dreams.

3 years passed by. Muskaan was now married to Zubena and had a year old son. Rehman was only too happy to see them, taking care of the new orphanage and school Muskaan built. Muskaan planned to open a old age home soon. They were all happy with their lives.

One day Muskaan while giving an interview for a national news channel, remembered about the books that inspired him to achieve his aim of building a school and orphange. That day he decide he would go and meet the author of the books that so influenced him.

He reached the address mentioned in the last page of every book along with the authors photo. An old lady in her mid 60’s told him to come inside when he inquired about Anthony. She bought him a photo of Anthony and asked him if it was about him he was asking for.

‘Yes that’s him, the author of the 7 books that changed my life’, he said.

What? He never wrote any books and Anthony left this world 25 years ago. He wished to become a writer. But he never could”, she said with tears in her eyes.

But I have the books with me, Muskaan told her. But when he tried to find the bag of the books he left in the car. He could not. He left the old lady with an apology.

2 years later, Muskaan became the author of 6 books that became the best sellers, read and loved by everyone around the world.

The day he finished the 7^th book…he took all the 7 books in a cover and left them on the bench in the park that cold night. The next morning he came to saw that the books were no longer there. The old watchman told him that he was the last one to leave and first one to come since yesterday and that he knew nothing about the books.

That day Muskaan left the park with a smile.

The last line in all the books that Muskaan wrote was,

“The dead have many stories to tell”, nobody but Zubeena understood what he meant.

Life and Career- Are not two different things that happen at two different times in life.

Hai all.

The following is an extract from a letter I wrote to somebody hoping it could help them to sort out few things. I think I failed in my attempt…but anyways I am posting this with not much editing so that some day in future I would not be clueless in understanding the life I want to live. J

The following will make only sense to those who are currently consumed up with their unhappy career that life to them seems meaningless. If you do not belong to that genre…you can skip reading this but do read the P.S. and leave your answer.

Yes I do read back what I wrote in the past again and again so that the good part said will not be forgotten as I am blessed with a poor memory.

It’s good that you have this (strong) wanting of "Growing"(in career).
But dear<insert your name for more effectiveness: ~P)….What does 'Growing' in your terminology mean?

--->Getting rich?
--->getting famous?
--->Being appreciated for your hard work?
--->Buying a big bungalow and save lots of money so that you need to work no more?
--->All of the above?

Are all the rich people happy? Are all the poor unhappy? Money surely doesn't bring you happiness all the times. Not saying money is not important. Money is not everything though it is something crucial to keep you confident and secured. But there's never a limit to the amount of money you want to posses. Yes 1 lakh per month is your goal and it’s not that you are asking for too much but remember its 10 k or 100k it’s in no way going to change your state of happiness unless you really want to be happy.

Life is all about living it...not just dreaming and wanting those dreams to be true...It’s what you do to make them true that makes life worth living ......

Everybody gets their 15 minutes of fame in their lives, when it is your time you will get it. Don’t run after it. It’s seriously not worth pursuing after all its not going to be eternal.

Being appreciated...Remember the first person to appreciate your hard work should be you yourself. Nobody else will be ever able to understand the efforts you have taken, the pressure you have given yourself to accomplish that task or whatever. Look nobody has that time or heart for others so be good to yourself. Appreciate yourself not all the times but at least when you know you have really gone beyond your limits independent of the fact that you have been successful or failed. (at least you gave a try!)

Work is necessary to keep us sane so don’t ever dream of a life that would give you comforts without you working hard.

--->Just a plain simple job, that recognizes your work, pays you well, gives you enough of your time (Irony-Somebody else giving you your own time!) for things other than work?

The above thing is never going to happen ….simple job with a good pay scale etc etc. Tell me is there one single person who works without complaining? Nobody ever finds an Ideal job...but an ideal life? Yes they do.

Look the only possibilities in life are…

1) You work hard and still find time to relish your success and time for things that are imp. to you and be happy.

2) You work hard and find time for nothing else and be unhappy.

3) You don’t work hard and still be unhappy.

Things that are imp to us are those that will keep us happy.

<Your name> take time and think what are those things that are going to make and keep you happy?

Time with your family? /Time with your friends? / Time with yourself?

I do not know what really makes you happy….but it’s IMPORTANT for you to be aware of that. Before saying that you are not happy realize what really makes you happy.

Look watching TV makes kali happy,

Writing you long nonsense letters, painting though I know I can never master it, growing plants, cursing my chemistry mam, blaming god or may be just looking at the passing clouds or getting drenched in the rain ...makes me happy.

It makes my mom happy to know that I’m happy.

Do not get used to working hard so much that you get used to becoming deaf to your needs. Do not get used to the feeling that you cannot be happy and nothing is in your hands.

Everything is in your hands. Everything happens just the way you want it to. Before saying that something is wrong know what is correct. And then start working, to replace the wrong with the correct.

Enjoy your life to the fullest and be cool nothing is going to happen against your will.

You know what someday in future you will be proudly telling everybody about how hard you used to work at the start of your career and all such things! You will be happy because you know you have struggled and will be satisfied at a later point in life, with your success coz you know you have put in the rite efforts and fully deserve it.

And now if you felt this to be stupidity from my side to write all this then just smile < name> ...I wrote this bcoz writing makes me happy and ha the other thing though least possible is that it would help you to understand what you want in life.

Work is worship but it’s not the only thing you need to do the whole day. Plan your day...give time for other imp things too...may be a minute to look at the sunrise, may be a morning walk, a long warm bath, few minutes doing your favorite puzzle or crossword, reading your favorite book- a page a day, take a minute( I would take an hour) to look at yourself in the mirror or may be counting the stars, or may be sometimes just don’t do anything-lie down and daydream, Start doing things you always wanted to and things that you were always scared of.......

<Your name>...There’s a saying that if you can’t stand the heat come out of the kitchen. If you think you are in the wrong place come out of it.
And God never places us in a situation that we cannot handle.

All that matters….is to live the life to the fullest happilyJ

When we write a letter and send it to someone. Does that content belong to the writer or the receiver?

Yes! I am damn so so happy rite now! My plans for this New Year was to sleep early so that I could stick to my resolution of waking up early(before 10am at least) everyday. But the strike of 00 hours and 30 seconds...a few friends did remember to call me and wake me up :~P And then...........

Nope,I am not leaving blogging any time soon :~P lol.
Ha Ha Ha These days I am laughing at my own jokes...yes I call them jokes.

Remember? Few day ago how my mobile acted dead and created drama in my life ? (<---Click here to know more)All is well that ends well,I thought. But my mobile being the drama king* showed its true color. :~|
Actually it showed no display and no color. Yessss it got dead finally and with it ends the saga of Nokia 3230 mobiles in the world (Guess so) :~)

Though my mobile had no second thoughts on leaving me, I still think I need to give it a proper send off and cremate it in a way every mobile phone lover would dare not forget. Following are a few not at all expensive ways I could think of...you can add on your suggestions for free, as always.

---> Freeze it.
--->Micro wave it.(with the power on..obviously)
--->Throw it from my balcony.( 3 floors on to to floor...NO! not on to somebody's head ;~))
--->Put it in hot boiling water.(hey milk has a higher B.P. isn't it?)

--->Organ Donation- Give it to the Phone repairer & useful parts shall be recycle.

Hello all!

Has it ever happened that you procrastinated doing something till the very last moment that it was too late to do anything? Well, it did to me the day before yesterday. But luckily I didn’t mess it up much.

I know it sounds crazy but I got so lazy these days that my procrastination has affected my little grey cells to the extent of not thinking. :~D

'Since the day I was born', it always happens that the day after my b'day is my mom's b'day. I being the gal with loads of luv for surprises am invariably expected to be one that gives surprises too. But this time as I said my laziness got over me and all I could think of at the last moment was candle lite midnight cake-the 'old age formula that still rocks'.

A movie (tickets bought with my precious pocket money-now that’s something :~ P) next day was all I could do for her. Apart from a superficial scolding for what I did to those beaker-shaped glasses all went well for the day :~)

Moms are always special and there need not be a reason to do something to make her know how special she is.

Here are few things you we can do for the angel in our lives:

--->Flowers in the vase and a card with a message.

--->Cook the lunch/dinner for her. (If you are bad at it..PLZ don't. Read the next alternative.)

--->A pleasant dinner in her favorite restaurant.

--->Buy her favorite something that she always wanted but never bought. (Think!..there gotta be something for sure.)

--->A album with her photographs since childhood. (Everybody luvs this.)

---> A short video with all those happy-family-together moments.

--->A collection of her favorite movies or songs.

--->Find the contact info of her old friend or teacher who is no more in contact, about whom she sometimes talks about.

And which way is better than a hug & telling her what she means to you?!

Happy Birthday Blues

Happy Birthday to me and the Birthday Blues to everyone around me! lol

I always create so much hype and publicity about my birthday that officially comes once in a year and unofficially is celebrated on 22nd of every month. Since few days, caring friends and my dear family have been perplexed deciding what shall be my perfect birthday gift! And who else do you think they are asking for suggestions??

YES! No guessing….Me. :~D

So here goes my wish list to help them and may be you ? :~P

àI want a Nobel Prize. (For being truthfully committed to Procrastination.)

àA trip to Antarctica. (And the most sophisticated Camera; I will dedicate de photos to anyone who sponsors de trip.)

àA full fledged Biotech lab dedicated to me. (I may look at it, faint and never wake up again...but still...)

àA permanent tattoo of My name on everyone's right wrist. (Did I mention it must be a colored one?)

àAll the literary books available in English (only) (library? Nah! This is going to be for my personal collection.)

Fun things apart, this birthday of mine is special to me for so many reasons. A few years ago, I had this poem in school about how a man feels on turning 21 years old. (Anyone remember the name of the poem??? ) Since then I always held a very special feeling and great expectations on how I do feel when I would turn 21. But the ups and downs I have seen this year of my life though was a roller coaster ride made me stronger. Rather more ignorant to the pessimism around, I guess.

It's the end of being 21 years old is what I celebrate today. With a spirit to cherish all my dreams no matter how unconvincing they seem to many. (“Protect your dreams”,said Will Smith in the movie ‘In Pursuit of Happyness’.)

I intended to put a full stop to the post Indian Politics (if you haven't read it,I suggest you to) but I guess I will keep you all updated for some more days on this issue in this post.

[13/12/2009] Sunday- Sequel ?
137 MLA's in AP have submitted their resignation letters to the Speaker, most of them not stating the reason. The Speaker (who actually wants to resign himself but didn't) is in a fix right now. The speaker is taking legal advice on what to do about accepting or not accepting these resignations. If he accepts, the Govt in AP is gonna fall.

RajaGopal Lagadapati, MP and a supporter of United AP, will be coming to Hyderabad on monday and start a fast (onto death?) and strikes. Rumors heard, 1)he would be bringing about 2000 paid protestors to Hyd,tomorrow.2) He is doing all this to protect his properties in Hyd.

Students and supporters of United AP (I'll say UAP next time! lol) still continue their fast, and their health isapparently degrading. After all they are not under the surveillance of 10 to 30 Specialized Doctors like KCR was.

So,I am just looking forward on how it is going to be in Hyd tomorrow(na,not talking about the weather here). Protesters of UAP and Telangana as a State would be coming together could that result in more unrest in AP?

(Telangana probably might be declared a free state, the central govt. has the power to do that and needn't wait to take into consideration of all the MLA/MP's/people.)

RajaGopal Lagadapati comes to Hyd,early morning and is arrested in the airport itself.HE is released again on promising that he is responsible for his safety.Late on he is again arrested after meeting the CM as he goes to the LB stadium[he booked it before itself-kya planning hai bhai :)] and collecting his protesters(not paid it seems).He is then sent to Vijayawada forcibly, overnight.( a place not in Telangana)

One of the students fasting since 3 days suffers with an heart attack.( :( the cameras captured him as he suffered the stroke...)The agitations continue all around AP other than the Telangana region.

[15/12/2009] Wednesday- Let the history repeat?

RajaGopal Lagadapati goes on a walk for UAP with an Indian Flag in his hand.(his supporters all of a sudden are calling him today's Gandhi) He started a fast too outside his residence. And he is telling everyone around all the history he has learnt, again and again.( yes, he is boring.)

The student who suffered Heart stroke yesterday, dies.Wonder how KCR was okay though he fasted for 10 or so days.Sucides and agitations do continue.

The history repeats thing is proved by the police again. The police cruelly beat the students(like in Osmania University) of SK University who were fasting for UAP.The students and police exchange rain of stones. Then the students & the staff are arrested. The police were so humiliated I guess, that they even damaged the furniture(in the canteen) and bikes in the university. And what was I thinking? police are there to protect us? Funny me.

Heard the final word on whether Telangana as a state will be given or not will be told tonight.

Politics and the ongoing issue of Separate state in Andhra Pradesh (AP) is all what everyone is talking about. Why not me? My opinion on this issue matters not. Politics isn't my cup of tea. Well even if it is...I yuck tea. But the plots and drama of Politics is so very AW-e-some, that I couldn't resist sharing this with every one of you.

So here goes the darker and mussy side of Indian Politics, Issue of separate states in AP and the perspective of a girl who still believes in the World being one big home to all the earthlets no matter what the boundaries say.

Note:The views said here are purely based on whatever I heard from sources I do trust and would dare not question. It’s up to you to believe them or not. If you find this offending or derogatory, I request you to correct me and not take this seriously.

The Crash

The representative of 77.7million (approx.) people dies in an air crash. His body is found after 24 hours.

Accident?? Or is it something else?

CM of a state travels in a plane not upto the mark, the weather forecast reports being ignored, the plane not being detected though it had a signal transmitter, and the dubious reports of the black box do suggest something more than an accident.

Who could that be? Rumors were and are it was somebody close to him. [Politics and Plots inseparable huh?!]

True so many love YSR. Why not? Most people who were genuinely poor or who either genuinely showed they were poor got scholarships, free health checkups & treatment , free education and all! It was easy money to some, it was money that truly saved some and made their lives. But the money that went into wrong hands is surmountable.

Aftermath

“I wanna be the CM”, “I deserve to be the CM”,” It’s my right to be the CM”, Yawped Jagan, YSR’s son. A few outburst from his supporters lasted for a few days. The suspense on ‘Who is the next CM’ grew and died in a few days. Lady Luck (??) followed Rosaiah (considered a right hand to YSR) and he got the golden chance which he would have not even dared to dream. Someday, "I will be the CM" grinned Jagan.

“Peace restored”, thought Sonia Gandhi. Manmohan Singh is the Prime Minister of Inida….just reminding.

Now or Never

KCR-The leader of TRS( a party that profoundly wants Telangana as a separate state) who fights for the cause intermittently realizes it’s time once again to raise protests for not giving Telangana as a separate state, as was promised long ago by Sonia Gandhi herself. (Remember Manmohan Singh again…he deserves to be in our thoughts.)

KCR didn’t want to lose the opportunity for the good of all People of Telangan(?) as the govt. of AP being in a recovery mode with the death of YSR was prone to get weaker and yield to their demands(?)

I will Fast onto death, he said. And after a few days of excessive publicizing he is arrested on the day he said he do start his fast. What next wondered all the people of AP. Things sure were getting interesting, thanks to the numerous (14)regional news channels that exaggerate everything they think would give them a better rating.(Come on ! Don’t ever blame them, they gotta survive the tough times too and a bit of exaggeration is okay.)

And the News spread and KCR is profoundly supported by students (not everybody-NOT ME at least) of Osmania University of Hyderabad.

The Power shift

40 hours of fast(??) and KCR breaks his fast with a glass of juice and rumors say he got rich by 500 crores of rupees that day. Few of the students he succeeded to inspire and lure with the prospective of employment, found this unacceptable. See they just caught this fantasy to agitate for a different state from him and they did not want to see him back off. Few warned him, few didn’t care but now what all mattered to them was Telangana.

The warnings and the agitation SCARED inspired KCR to continue his fast. Heard him say he drank the juice because they gave him sedatives in his saline.(lol) Rumors heard-KCR’s Son and son-in-law forced him to continue the fast.(Plots and Politics,inseperavle.Huh)

Here shifts the power from the politicians to the students. A few suicides and agitations in new innovative forms everyday for 10 days follow. Women, Children, Lawyers and people from different backgrounds from the region of Telangana support in unison for a separate state. Unrest, confusion, closure of all colleges in Telangana regions and disturbances follow. An awkward question of Do I belong to Andhra or Telangana regions arises in the minds of people like me and many.( I am an earthlet. Love has no boundaries, I keep telling myself.)

Victory

Yup! Student power wins. Sonia Gandhi Says okay! And Chidambaram announces the approval of the govt. to divide AP late night (reminds of the way India got independence). Most or Few (I have no idea) People of Telangana are happy with the news and celebrate.

The fun Rumor here-Chidambaram (I find him cute and looks intelligent, isn’t he?) wants to divide AP so that Tamil nadu remains the largest state in Southern part of Inida.

Reactions

Normalcy is restored to Telangana[?],the strikes and riots end. Plans for a separate state take the front seat in the minds of all the supporters of Telangana.

Now shifts the strikes and riot kinda situation to all other parts of AP.

Rayalseema and Andhra the two other major regions of AP are perplexed. Some say lets divide AP to 4 states-Telangana,Rayalaseema,North Andhra and the Coastal Andhra.

Coastal Andhra wants a United Andhra Pradesh.

Rayalaseema wants to be declared as a state too or lets all be together is what it says.

North Andhra wants to be a different state too if the partition happens.

Telangana says it wants a free state and Hyderabad belongs to it.

Many MP’s and MLA’s irrespective of the party they belong to resign disappointed with the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh to form separate Telangana state. If the Congress loses its MLAs and MPs in this way, its gonnna lose it power in AP and majority at the central level.

The central govt. is just buying some time and may not actually separate AP.( ? )

What next?

If we divide?

# A metropolis city, no matter who developed it (ppl of Andhra or Telangana) is gonna be ruined.

# The IT industry will lose any hope of development (if any) if the partition happens.

# The Coastal Andhra region will have serious setbacks, as it would not be getting Coal and water and other resources from the other regions. (May be it will turn out to be another Telangana-deprived of opportunities to develop?)

# The real estate will have a blow and the consequences are scary enough.

# The partition will only initiate and attract more partitions to happen throughout India.

# More politicians will get the opportunity to show case their dirty plots and drama as they get richer and richer.

What if we don’t divide?

# The protests for Partition would continue and may only take a grosser form.

# The Telangana region may remain as it is neglected, hopeless and lost.

Best Solution?

# More sensible Leaders who understand the problem and who not only compose the solution but also execute it.(Especially Telangana region needs one.)

# Electing the right leaders and giving the power to those unselfish people(RARE-I Know) who truly work for the people.

# To let the things calm down and think of a peaceful solution.

My Priceless thoughts

# The region of Telangana was neglected and the solution doesn’t lie in dividing and making new issues out of an old issue.

# US OF A warned its citizens not to go to AP and the Americans here to not go to places near the assembly, Parliamnet, Ameerpet, etc. (Imagine the kinda of secured feelings we are giving them.)

# Patriotic movies (though there are few) should be often aired on our regional News Channel.

# If I were a Britisher, I would have been laughing whole heartedly.

# How does a child feel when her/his parents separate? I feel the same being born in Andhra region and brought up in Telangana region.

HOPE-A story and a message.

The following is a story I wrote about 2+years ago for a story writing competion in my college. It didn't get selected for any prize. During that time I was really satisfied that I ever wrote this. But reading this now actually makes me eembarrassed. It surely could have been written better. I would love to have your suggestions on how I could improve my writing and make it more reader friendly :)

And yes...This story is based on a true life incident.

HOPE

My happiness knew no bounds, when one unexpected evening my long lost friend called me. It really came more as a shock to me rather than a surprise that my best childhood buddy should call me exactly after a span of eight years. I had a million of questions popping up in my mind instantly, when I heard her voice. Thanks to Orkut, it really helped me find my long lost friend.

We talked for hours together as we once again walked the past lanes of our lives, filled with sweet and bitter experiences we faced. Since we departed to take the journey of transformation of an ambitious high school girl to a matured, determined woman. I was filled with joy, when she invited me for the opening of her Rehabilitation Centre for the HIV effected, the next day in Hyderabad. But this left me in wonder, because I always knew that her only aim was to work in a good MNC which would fetch a good income and a very comfortable life. I knew she was never into social service kind of work and once again my mind was filled up only with questions and queries but I thought they could wait for a day and I hanged up wishing her all the best and promising to be present for the inauguration the next day.

The next day, I made it sure that I was available for my friend. The inauguration was a grand success and it was supposed to be so with all the meticulous planning that my friend did before hand. The Rehab Centre was a modern, comfortable four storied building with a hospital attached to it, capable of housing about 300 patients. I was happy for all the 124 HIV-Patients who were present there for the inauguration of their home – that had filled their unfortunate lives with a ray of hope. And to think that my child hood friend, whom I always knew as a talented, innocent and a pampered girl, who was the only daughter of her well settled rich parents was responsible for this left me in wonder.

It was not until late in the evening, that I had the opportunity to talk with her and clear all my doubts. The first thing I asked her was about her father, who was missing the ceremony. I could not find a reason, why he should be missing one of the greatest achievements of his daughter. At this point, the pain that I saw in her eyes made me realize that something was wrong, something terrible might have happened in the past eight years……..And it really broke my heart, as she slowly told me her misfortune.

‘She was in her 1st year of B. Tech. It was the evening her 1st year results were out, she was happy that she topped her college. She was sure that her dad was going to make it a big day for her, at this achievement of hers. She went into her dad’s room to tell him the good news. But she was sort of disappointed; when she found her dad congratulate her absent mindedly with a face void happiness. She was afraid if something was wrong with him. She wanted to talk to her father but he told her to leave him alone for sometime. Finding no other option, she left the room and spent the whole night wondering what might have gone wrong with him. She was sure the next morning was going to be better.

But the next morning, she found that it was going to be one of her worst days of life. Her father left their house that night to never come back and the only note he left behind was for her dear daughter telling to take care and wishing all the best of luck for her bright future. This sudden disappearance of her father left everyone in shock and despair.

Every friend of her father, every relative, every acquaintance was thoroughly asked, every place was searched in the vain hope of finding her father but no one could give a hint on his whereabouts. A week after his mysterious disappearance, a call from a hospital cleared a few doubts. The doctor of this so-called, one of the best hospitals in the city, called to tell this family in grief, about a mistake that happened in their hospital, exactly a week ago. It so happened that the medical reports of a HIV + patient was exchanged up with those of her dad by mistake and the hospital authorities were very sorry for this. But it was too late; her dad who believed that he was HIV + effected, was devastated and depressed. He left his wife and daughter for ever. Friends, relatives and the police continued to search for him for months, but he was found nowhere and whether he is alive or dead still remains a mystery’.

As she completed narrating this, I could find that my eyes were welled up with tears and sympathy for this unfortunate, grief stricken family. Now I knew why she started a Rehab Center for the HIV affected, she wanted to provide all the comfort to the unfortunate patients. She wanted to tell the world that being a HIV + does not mean that it is going to be the end.

I found myself at a complete loss of words. Time and destiny has changed my happy go lucky buddy into a matured, caring and humble person. My friend was the one who broke the deafening silence between us, with a faint smile. Her words shall last in my memory for ever as refreshing as the first rain drops falling on a thirsty desert.

"I still hope that my dad is alive, if so he will surely come back to me, be happy for what I have done and if at all he is no more in this world, he shall be surely watching my every step, from the other world and be happy for what I am doing".

It was really the most unlucky thing to happen to a person, but I was happy that my friend carried on with her life in a way that would really make her father proud. I think this is what is called HOPE.

HOPE the only thing that can keep a person going on in life, what ever tragedy strikes him. I really wish and pray wholeheartedly that her campaign to spread the message that AIDS - MIGHT BE A LIFE-THREATENING DISEASE BUT SHOULD NOT BE A HOPE - THREATENING ONE, COULD REACH EVERY PERSON IN THIS WORLD.

Because it is this HOPE, that lights the candles instead of cursing the darkness.

Somebody's dear dad did leave his home forever cause he was scared he was HIV+.
The family underwent a great trauma befor they realized what really happened.
It was found that a wrong diagnosis from an unauthentic source scared him to take this ghastly step.

He is alive or not still remains a mystery.

Edited on 9th dec 2009: Some dear-friends and readers, who read this story misunderstood that every part of the story is true. Yes, I do know a sweet- strong girl with whom destiny played the evil game and took her father far away from her. But there is no such REHAB center as said in the above story built anywhere in the world until now as much as I know.

Okay guys and gals tell me one thing. Do you write the title or the body of the post first ?

As much as I remember I always start with the title and go on and on and on. Cause this partially helps me to stick to one subject and not much bore those readers who accidently crash here. And so that's how I chose this title too.

Though I always believed Writing as a self therapy, I didn't knew it was actually more than what I thought. Here is the link to an article on Writing Therapy----> Not a link to wikipedia. Do read it, I found the fifth instruction in the last paragraph above the references quite interesting.

If you are still reading this and scratching your head and wondering what to expect, I Would suggest you to have a hair wash frequently and to never-ever expect anything sensible from me and to expect more ANDs in this post.

I am in this 'feels-good to be in a cranky-nasty mood' today that I have this enormous courage to write anything uncensored.

My favorite English teacher once told me that I write very long sentences and that I got to change this habit for good. Sleep early wake up early says my Dearest Dad. Eat at the proper time says my sweet mom. Be calm tells paddu. Forget me says one dear more-than-a frnd.

They don't understand ...a few things I can't change no matter how badly I wish I could :~(

I don't know why I beat around the bush instead of directly ~~speaking my head~~ writing .
It has been about 54 days (wonder how these calculations come up spontaneously) since we spoke/had a verbal fight. It's actually never difficult to forget someone who turns back on you when you needed them the most....rite?
But the hurt that resides hidden in those deep layers of memory, can it ever be healed? Can those alluring memories that hide the bitter truth be erased? Can this extinct past-of-joy overcome this hatred-of-present for a better-future?

It's not that I am upset all the time thinking about him. He is the best person I have ever known.

But deep down there is this emptiness that seems to strike back again and again swallowing up the most happiest & precious moments of my life.

NOTE: Please don't read this if you haven't yet seen the movie and are planning to. But if you are like me and would rather want to know the story before hand ...go ahead. Well, you can read from the 'what's new to watch' till the end of 'Post Script' at the end if you don't want to know the story :~)

I hate to be a critic and I don't know how and why I ended up writing such a critical review of the movie I did like the most. This movie is surely worth a watch and Don't miss it.

Synopsis:

Tum Mile is a romantic (?) movie that starts off with both the protagonists meeting in a flight to Mumbai coincidently. And then starts off the flash back with Sanjana (Soha Ali Khan) meeting Akshay (Emraan Hashmi) for the first time (in Cape town of South Africa) 6 years ago.

Then the movie proceeds with long flashbacks and short present glimpses and we get to know that Sanjana is a (rich dad's only girl) caring, independent,writer who falls in love with Akshay an aspiring artist who hails from a not so rich family, who dreams of making it big one day as an artist (liked by & for the aam adami).

Sanjana is the calm & understanding girl who thinks for both and gives their relation a greater importance while Akshay is the introvert kind who is more of self obsessed with his aspirations. And as we get curious (a very little bit) to know as to why they had to break up, the much hyped Mumbai floods sequence starts. As the floods get them closer again, the flash back reveals on how they parted. What happens next is for you to watch :~P

Review:
The scenes depicting the flash back and the present are a way too interwined that it makes it complicated to make any sense of what you are watching (present/past? )initially.( or may be I must have been too dumb to follow the plot).
The floods part was disappointing. May be a bit more of drama was needed here to emphasize on how a natural calamity could bring (two) people together again. The concept of Mumbai floods seem to have been rather wasted. I still don't understand whom they were aiming to impress in the shot in which the duo gets stuck in a building during the floods and what you see only reminds you of a failed attempt of recreating a bit of Titanic magic.( Who wants a diluted wine in a new bottle?...Not me.)
But the performance of Soha Ali Khan and Emraan almost nullify all the above said disappointments. Soha though looked too aged (may be the sideeffetcs of using too much of Olay), carried herself so naturally that is worth not to miss. Emraan did his best too and like Soha, suited well for his role. Mantra, as Akshay's friend did make the best use of his time on screen to claim his bit of appreciation.

The live in relationship concept has been neatly and delicately dealt but wonder if it is going to appeal everyone alike?( Yuck! Why am I saying this...aren't we living in the 21st century?

I shall give this movie 3.8 stars out of five-for the simple yet an entertraining story.

What's new to watch?
Less of Emraan's kissing scenes(wasn't he famous for that?) and more of Soha's low necked-sleeveless tops(sure she is gonna get more famous for this). But both look pretty good :~) and the chemistry between them did work well.
What's good to hear?
All the songs are equally good. (or better ask someone else...all music is noise and all noise is heaven to me.)
What's not to miss?
The scene in which Emran paints Soha's picture against a night background.( :~| yuck)
The end title and the home made (apparently) video showing what happens next.:~)

What is the moral of the story?(As I understood)

A man got to be more sensitive to a woman's need. Be it a wife or girlfriend, she wants to be with her man during his ups and downs and expects the same. Apart from cooking,buttoning his shirt, sharing his food and wine, scolding him for smoking, supporting his dreams and sleeping with him she also likes to be cared for. And she also expects to know her partners plan for their future. Its not right to blame her for asking more of his time and her share in the decison making .( A girl is writing this...what do you expect? lol)

----> I have seen a movie after 5 or 6 months and this is the 3rd or 4th movie(not counting any hollywood (in Hbo/star)movies) that I have seen this year.
---->This is the first movie review or synopsis I have ever written. And I am amazed I had the guts to even think of writing something like this (patting my back). Its not easy to follow your wild ideas. duh

-----> I had a hard time finding the name of the writer who wrote the story of Tum Mile. Why are writers never given the credit they desreve??

----->I haven't seen the first 30 minutes of the movie.I still wrote a review :~D

------>I was on time at the theater but Si* one of my friend took the wrong bus and came 15 miutes late and Pa* (the other) hired an unlucky auto whose driver was caught by a traffic police for going in the wrong direction (he took the wrong route cause my frnd was getting late..how sweet of the driver isn't it? ) and got late by 30 minutes.Last heard he was still locked up.

------>Pa* has been teaching me to be Patient since 4 years. She has never been on time for any damn thing...not even during our final (chemistry) exams,bday parties,movies or blah blah.

------>My dad went out of station and he called me up in the morning spoke for a minute and a half before he hung up saying that 'he loved me & missed me'. He also did the same in the evening. It made me happy but I was worried cause he is not the one who would speak out his emotions.
Then I remebered what my dad said few days ago about an article he read that day. He was explaining my mom about how 3 words when used frequently and geniunely could bring about a happy-positive-effect. I brushed aside his opinion, asking if he meant "I hate you". But :~) today I have understood how goooood it feels to hear what you already know.

"Let's make Our Story"-She Said

He couldn’t sleep all night. He was too excited anticipating how memorable the next day was going to be in his life.
He was almost mad with excitement as he lay on his bed with his big-brown eyes wide open, looking at the night sky through his window. The smile that lit his face when she said she was ready to meet him a week ago was still adorning his boyish-innocent looking face. The sparkle in his eyes which reflected how happy a man in love could be was only getting brighter as each minute ticked by.

He held the little box close by the whole night. A day more and the ring would be on her soft-delicate finger, he thought.

Everything was meticulously planned. The restaurant would be of her favorite choice, decorated with her favorite flowers, the music that would be played once she entered shall be her favorite one. He gave special importance to the ring he would present her. He felt both anxious and happy with all the plans he made to make the day big for him and her.

The sparkle in her eyes, when she would see him is all he dreamt of as he fell asleep staring at the brightest star.

7.45Am

“You don’t want to waste a minute of today. Do you?” He heard his father saying as he woke up to the warm embrace of the sunrays that filled his room.

“Yes”, he said as he smiled back.

Everyone at home - his mother, his dad and he particularly were happy and ~~contempt~~ content that day. He already had this feeling of a happy successful man building up in his heart, as he thought of the events that were to unfold in a few hours. It would be the last day in his aviation academy. One more hour of flying and he would be a licensed pilot. With a track record of distinctions he already had the best offers coming from the best of the best aviation industries.

Flying was his destiny and to reach his destiny was his passion. She once asked him if it would be her or flying and he said the obvious. Though she pretended to be upset with his answer, she felt proud inside.

9.45Am

He got a clearance to fly at 10.00Am that day. But he was always before his due time.

When his instructor called him saying they should postpone the class by an hour, he had a hard time convincing him that he would go alone.

He had no time to spare that day. He planned that he would be landing by 11.00Am,would reach the restaurant by 11.20am and he would still have to pass 10 long minutes before he could see the one who was ruling his heart since 3 years.

10.15Am

A clear sky, a perfect weather and with a happy heart he felt like a king ruling the sky and the world below flying the aircraft, all by himself.

He only wished she was beside him at that moment. As he looked down at the match sized buildings and the pea sized vehicles moving, he wondered if he was flying right above her.

It was amazing the way he met her and fell in love with her. His friends told him love between 2 people never met can never happen. But as he came to know more of her and She more of him…both knew this was it.

Love needs no reason to begin and thereafter not a million reasons could stop it.

Let’s make our own love story, she said and both decided they shall neither see each other for some time until they both felt sure what they were feeling was true and meant to last long.

He took the ring from the box and looked at it for one more time. “2 more hours” he said and winked at the ring with a big smile.

10.45Am

Mr.Rao felt a sudden heaviness in his heart as he read the headlines in big red bold words on his television screen. “Chopper Crashed”

The visuals of a burning chopper, made his mind blank and heart miss a beat. He trembled as his eyes were filled with tears. He was scared as he watched the news for more details.

“The aircraft had crashed straight onto the road. Few people who witnessed the aircraft swirling before it crashed on the road say that the pilot acted in a noble way as he...…Let’s hear to what a witness here has to tell about this fatal accident….” The reporter spoke as the cameraman zoomed on to the burning chopper behind her.

“When the plane crashed, we were right in front of it….we saw that the pilot was hurt and had blood stains all over his face….we first thought he was dead…Everyone was shocked and did not know what to do..We were scared too...but when I saw his hand move…I rushed towards him… he was struggling to free himself… but the seat belt was stuck around him…I was about 4 feet close to him and was about to reach him when he waved me to go away…I was confused and scared …I ran back when I saw the sparks coming off the engine…And in a minute the whole chopper was in flames…See I’m burnt all over my right shoulder and both my hands too…But I feel bad that I couldn’t help him…and to think he waved me to go away…to go away is”, he stopped his sentence incomplete as he burst into tears.

“As is obvious the pilot is A HERO. He tried to save others till his last breath and averted a major mishap from happening. As we can see the human and property loss that could have resulted if the plane hit any of the buildings here or the petrol bunk nearby would be unimaginable…..”The reporter continued.

“NO…NOT MY SON”, Mr. Rao shouted.

But when he heard the reporter say his son’s name…he felt numb.

4.45Pm

“It’s an accident case Dr. Siya. We have to submit the report as early as possible.” Dr.Riyaz told her.

She silently went in to the post mortem room. Her profession made her too strong she thought as she saw the corpse lying in front of her. She saw many indigestible sights before but this one was the most horrifying. The face was burnt beyond recognition and the body charred.

“There is something here…” her assistant murmured pointing towards the dead man’s hand.

She saw a little box tightly held in his right fist. She opened the box and saw the most beautiful ring ever with the letters S&A inscribed in a heart.

A diamond ring the way she told him she wanted with the first letters of his&her name inscribed together within a single heart.

“Ankit” She said and the next moment her heart stopped.

“You don’t believe this”? She asked him.

“Yes, I don’t.” He said with a smile.

“Wait a minute.” She said as she went to fetch something.

“Look at this.” She said as she handed him 2 diaries.

On the first page of both the diaries a photo was stuck. One was the photo of a beautiful girl in her apron with a stethoscope in her hands and the other was a man in his aircraft. One thing that was striking in both of the pictures was the sparkle in their eyes and the smiles that lit their faces.

“They made their story...a touching one.” He said rather to himself.

"Let's make our story.....a happy one" She said

November Already

'Wake me up when Spetember ends',this is one of the many songs I have listened to for a hundred or more times since the past couple of months. September ended so did October but not my new found passion for listening to gloomy songs and corealting myself to it.
Minutes and days have passed horribly slow all these months. But again to think that 2009 is going to end in less than 2 months is astounding. I am trying hard to think of all the good times I had this year but nothing seems to showup. Not that I had a rough time all along but the few I had were strong enough to overshadow all those good memories :~(
I know this is how life is for most of us. We don't get what we want most of the times. And to not get what you whole heartedly-truly-ever wanted is disappointing, disheartening and whatever you think that fits in here. If you have everything you want then go away,this planet is not for you.

I Still Love You

Right now I am somewhere in b/w being dozy and dizzy. But I have this I wanna write & write & write instinct today. I had these numerous things popping in my head, suffocating it and forcing my lil brain with its few functioning grey cells to find a way to let them out. So I thought I do make up some space there and fill the space here instead. So here goes one of the many stupid thoughts my head wants to free itself off...

I Still Love You
I sincerely wanted to get rid of....It has been 3 years + and a long time anyone would wanna stick to, in this upgrade-ever technology-driven world.

It's like you wanna swap the old for new no matter how used to or how good the old ones are. The newer ones are always exciting and trendy and always win over the older ones no matter what.

And there is nothing wrong in feeling so, Right?

So this is what I told myself not to feel guilty, for wanting to get rid of something I no longer wanted to associate with, no matter how important it was to me during all those critical phases of life.

Finding my excuses (a few I made up though) ample enough to file a petition to my parents for a new mobile, I felt good to dump the oldie ASAP. Fortunately my mobiles battery was acting strangely and that made things easiest for its dumping. As my dad (sweetest) felt my basic right to life was at stake he felt more urged than me to get a new one at once.

But sometimes luck plays in a great deal. All the shops were closed that day except one that seemed like an oasis to thirsty long distance travelers. Dad & me felt proud of finding our treasure to be bought (it’s not always that you find treasure you gotta buy it sometimes). We went hopping and gleaming to find that it was only a dried up oasis that only sold mobile accessories[recession effect eh ?]. Yippee my dad said and yuckieeeee I felt.

SO that’s how my mobile was given a new life again much out of my ill luck. 'Being environmental friendly is all about ~~exploiting~~ using all the resources available to the fullest extent and longest period possible', I told myself to soothe my broken ego.

I thought of the good old times we had together...like...
# it was with me when I met with my first accident,
# it was the first gift from my Sis who bought it with her hard earned GA $,
# it didn't complain when I forgot it in the freezer for a hour or two and later badly wanted to thaw it [but I didn't :~( ],
# it had a cute bonding with kali who by now knew so well to operate it,
# it connected me to many many many friends,
# it gave a 'I am with her don't you worry' kinda assurance to my mom each time I went out,
# it was my camera i was proud of when i had no digi cam,
# it was my radio,it was my reminder,it was my alarm,it was my calculator,it was my calendar,
# it was that piece of 'man made wonders' that connected me to somebody important miles away....

See, a little bit of introspect and your priority list changes.

Abh kahani mein aayega The Twist
Yesterday my mobile fell from my hands and this was probably the hundredth time or so. I assumed my mobile was immune to any falls by now but I was wrong. I felt bad just not because my investment of 650rs went waste but to lose something just after you realize their importance is like so humiliating.

And now comes The Miracle
I thought my mobile was dead after trying to switch it on in the numerous ways I know (cajoling, begging, beating & what not). Two days of despair and losing contact with the world and all hope lost I reapplied my petition but my dad couldn't give up so easily and he took my dead mobile to that dried up oasis. And miraculously it was in good state even before that ~~mobile doctor~~ man at the oasis did anything.

I guess my mobile was acting dead or may be felt unconscious or may be it had some inbuilt self recovery feature. I do believe the former.

Probably it likes me too and it did a little drama to show me" love can’t be easily lost".

And the Moral of The Story

"A little drama in every happy ending love story is Okay."

Nope, I am not talking about the state of my mind but Chetan Bhagat's book 2 States-The story of my marriage.

I am not good at writing reviews but I do say this is the best book of all those Chetan Bhagat wrote till date. The plot was nothing huge but his simple style of writing and humor has just got better and that is what makes this book an adorable story you can't afford to miss. Though I felt the dramatization was overdone sometimes making the story sound untrue. (I know all stories are never purely real and a bit of exaggeration is Okay but I still think the book that makes you believe everything it says wins.) But it still scores high on maintaining congenial humor coupled to his unique way of unfolding the story. But I had one regret reading this that I don’t drink coffee cause this is one book that makes you wanna sit back and sip coffee as you read, on a pleasant sunday evening.

I do rate it 4.4/5 and few books ever did/would get a rating higher than this from me.

P.S.

If you are a South India like me, You woul feel like offended at one or the other points but thinking on broader terms...you should kind of feel okay. And the only point to be remembered is India might be divided gepgraphically and the complexion of the skin but we are all the same at heart.

What I did this Diwali

My Mom was simply shocked when I told her I would make a rangoli this diwali. She was worried I do ruin up everything and embarrass myself given the fact that all my neihgbours are well experienced professional rangoli makers. But luckily things didn't turn out that bad. I guess there is something mystical and magical when hues of color are brought together.And yeah, it was absolute fun too.
